    When it comes to fashion, four-legged friends can sometimes be better at connecting with consumers than people.
    You only need to witness how popular YouTube videos or Instagram accounts featuring animals can become, to realize that there's a talent in harnessing your pets' prowess in order to turn them into the latest, greatest social media sensation.
    An agency that is more used to having hundreds of the most popular fashionistas on its webpages has set up a site just for animals, in order to make it easier for brands to find the perfect paws for their campaigns.
    Fohr Card has just unveiled Fur Card, a service designed to help brands work with the most influential animals on social media.
    Companies often like to team up with animals to help appeal to a wider audience, a technique which can help to personalize faceless brands whilst providing an element of cuteness and comic relief.
    The whole initiative has been inspired by the growing number of famous animals starring in ad campaigns.
    'I see more and more brands reach out about animals. You've got the Mr. Porter editorial that just used animals. They are fairly top of mind,' said blogger directory Fohr Card co-founder James Nord to WWD.com. 'The pet food and supply industry is a $53 billion dollar a year industry.'
    A number of the pets have already been successful in the world of advertising.
    Toast, a toothless Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dog, with a drooping tongue and more than 213,000 Instagram followers, stars in Karen Walker's summer 2015 eyewear campaign alongside Ms Walker herself.
